Melt Away May

When Scott and I started dating, he told me that he and his friends would use May as a time o refocus at the gym. It’s right before the summer officially starts, has 31 days and “Melt Away May” just has a great ring to it. The minute he told me about this, I was hooked. 

It’s all about focusing on your health. Scott and I are using the My Fitness Pal app to track our calories, some of my fiends use Lose It, with a goal of losing 2 lbs a week. I’m lifting again trying to get stronger. Goals for the month:

Planks: Get from :30 sets up to 1 minute 

Squats: be able to squat up 130lbs (currently at 115llbs)

Bench: 65 lbs comfortably for 3 sets of 10 reps 

Weight goal: get under my plateau weight (currently 7 lbs away)

We kicked off Melt Away May with my first race of the year: the Madison 5K (recap to come).
