Product Review: Clean Bottle

I’ve been unintentionally collecting cups/bottles for years: canteens, glasses, cups, bottles. They’re handed out at college at games or student fairs, souvenirs from events, purchased from various sites. We all have our preferences and not all bottles are created equally.

I was given a Clean Bottle as a prize at the Team In Training booth at the United Airways NYC Half Marathon expo. I’ve had issues with some bottles on my bike and at the gym and it’s hard to find the perfect one. This one is almost there.

What makes a Clean Bottle clean? This speaks to the ease at which you can clean it. Some of my old bottles have gotten a little funky because it’s difficult to clean the bottom of the bottle. I do not have a bottle cleaning brush, so usually I used a fork with a paper towel to clean it (you’re jealous of my Macgyver skills. I know). The Clean Bottle has a screw on bottom that allows you easy access to scrub. It’s so brilliant but so simple. It’s also BPA free and dishwasher safe.

Bottle size: it’s the perfect size for my bottle cages on my bike and for car cup holders. It’s 24 oz which is a great size for an hour gym workout or for half your fluids for a long bike ride.

Bottle color: mine is clear which is important. If it’s clear you can easily see how much liquid you have left to consume, what’s in there (water vs. sports drink) and if anything is growing in it (it happens to us all).

No leaking: I can’t tell you how many bottles that I have that end up leaking all over me, my bike and in my bags. This one does not leak, but I still check every time in the sink prior to use.

For the low price of $9.95, I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the Clean Bottle. If your body is clean, you’re guaranteed to have a better workout.
